Dinosaurs didn’t go extinct—birds are their direct descendants! Numbering about 10,500 species, birds are the most diverse group of vertebrates on earth. Residents of the Lower Mainland/Metro Vancouver area are fortunate to be living in one of the most biodiverse areas in Canada. The Fraser River Estuary is designated as a Ramsar site, a wetland area of international importance under the Ramsar Convention, an environmental treaty established by UNESCO.

Meetings are free for members or $5.00 for drop-in guests (your $5.00 fee can be applied to membership, should you decide to join).
