On Monday, November 20, Ben Weiss will be the guest speaker at the CV Hort. Society Zoom meeting. Ben will talk about recent research on hydromulch, a bio-based, certifiably organic mulch technology which could replace black plastic in organic agriculture.
Ben grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture. He interned at the Rodale Institute and worked at an organic farm in New Jersey as a lead rice cultivator. During this time Ben became involved in research and decided to pursue his graduate studies. Ben is passionate about sustainable technologies, closed loop agriculture and urban farming.
