Organization's Profile: | The purpose of our club is to promote the advancement of floriculture and horticulture as a means for distribution and dissemination of flower seeds, plants, shrubs and bulbs. The Club is a diverse group meeting monthly to hear a speaker on various subjects related to gardening. We provide the plants and plant them in 42 large planters along Pleasant Valley Boulevard in Armstrong. Our group also contributes a bursary to a student of the area entering a related a post-secodary institution. During the spring and summer we tour member's gardens plus others. |
Special Events: | We hold a plant sale on the Saturday prior to Mother's Day and plant the City planters. We enter a Float in the IPE Parade. We have garden tours, a recruiting booth at Farmer's Markets and Christmas and July Pot Luck Dinners. |
