Monthly Speaker Series - Aaron Wurt

On Monday, May 25, Aaron Wurts will be the guest speaker at the CV Hort. Society meeting, held in person and via Zoom. Aaron is the owner of Grow Tree Care, an arboriculture company rooted in the Comox Valley, and he brings over two decades of hands-on experience working with trees in some of BC’s most demanding environments – from Vancouver’s urban canopy to the valleys and hillsides of Vancouver Island.

Aaron’s talk will explore the fascinating and often overlooked relationship between trees and water. The decisions we make when managing trees and landscapes – how we prune, plant, and maintain them – can have a profound effect on water availability, both for the trees themselves and for the broader ecosystem.

Fraser Pacific Rose Society's Annual Rose Show - Roses Transcend Time

Our annual rose show is free to the public and the public is welcome to entry their roses into the show.  Our judged show has many divisions and classes for all types of roses.  They can be displayed in vases, bowls & baskets, photographs, floating and in picture frames.  We have eight floral art classes that interpret the yearly theme.
